What is My Inquiry Topic?
For my inquiry project, I have chosen to explore the benefits of implementing yoga into my everyday lifestyle. For many years I have wanted to start practicing yoga, but I have always felt that I’ve never had the time, or that I wasn’t “flexible” enough to do it properly. I remember the one time I actually bought a yoga mat, my dog tore it up before I ever really got into it! I am very grateful for this project because it is forcing us to try something new!
What are My Starting Questions?
- What are the physical benefits of daily yoga?
- What are the cognitive benefits of daily yoga?
- How will yoga improve my everyday lifestyle?
- What are some beginner routines that will not put me at risk for injury?
- What areas of the body benefit most from yoga?
- What is the optimal amount of time I should practice a day?
- Is yoga an adequate form of daily exercise? What else is needed?
What Will I Do Now?
I will now begin the research process and begin to narrow down my starting questions! I’m hoping to focus more on the mental health aspect of yoga, but we’ll see how the process goes. I’m excited to start researching beginner routines and document the process on my blog; it will certainly encourage me to commit to my goals! I’m excited to go buy a new yoga mat!
